Wunderschön, was aus dem alten Haus gemacht wurde! Supper schöne Zimmer mit vielen Details. Hier steckt viel Liebe drinn. Man wied sehr angenehm empfangen. Das Essen schmeckt hervorragend und die Bedienung ist supper. Wunderbar, ich komme sehr gerne wieder.
Everything starts with the warm welcome. Friendly and warm, a cosy environment, a place that breathes history aswell as love and caring. The rooms offer lots of space and have their own character. Great bathroom and shower. Loved the welcome chocolates, fruits and drinks. The bar offers great and tasty bar food, the burgers that Sarah and Kevin prepared had great taste ! Interesting choice of local beers ; do try the Appenzeller IPA !! And to finish off the evening, ask for their whisky menu. The owners have a well developed love for whiskies, resulting in a very well established whisky list.
In all, a place with a great reputation, where we will be returning !!!
PS. During your breakfast, don't hesitate to get a closer look at the book they made themselves, on the restoration of the old building that was partly used as a pharmacy for many decades. Looking at the evolution of the restoration works only makes you respect the owners more and more.
A perfect retreat to the mountains to relax and enjoy nature. Very cosy and comfortable hotel rooms. The food menu is good with some delicious House specialities such as the ribs and burgers. The River House Bar is a great place to meet and you will feel very “chilled out”. A great choice of drinks, cocktails, Single Malt Whisky, and local beers to choose from. The combination of regular live music and whisky tasting events, gives The River House a very unique theme in Andermatt.
3 Sterne, nur weil der Lift und der Indoor-Pool fehlen. Naja, vielleicht müsste man das Sterne System für Hotels mal überdenken. 5 Sterne von mir für die tollen Zimmer, die freundlichen Gastgeber und Team, das tolle Essen und überhaupt - uns ist's sauwohl hier! Gerne wieder einmal.
What a lovely, personable place to stay. You will instantly feel like family. Stay here and you won't be disappointed at all. :)
Literally perfect. Love it. Would return again in a second. It is small and family owned, homely but cool at the same time. GREAT beds and high pressure shower! Breakfast is relaxed and friendly, the don't kick you out if you are late. The bar feels like this is THE place for people (30yrs+) to come to for drinks and great bar food. They have games and a new rescue dog. What more could you ask for. �❄⛷���

Lovely hotel in the center of Andermatt. The staff is very attentive and friendly and make to make you visit memorable. Start you stay with a welcome drink and enjoy a nice morning breakfast with eggs cooked to order. Looking forward to future visit.

Sehr schön renoviertes altes Haus Mitten in Andermatt. Das Essen in der angeschlossenen Bar/Lounge sehr lecker. Kann man nur weiterempfehlen. Hoffentlich behält Andermatt etwas von seinem Charme.
