Dinner tonight was exceptionally good at a newish restaurant about a 5 to 10 minute walk from the train station in Baden. A traditional Swiss dinner of veal and mushrooms in a wonderfully rich (but not heavy) sauce with rosti (potatoes). Chef Herceg and his lovely wife treated us as if we were honored guests in their home, wanting to help translate/elaborate upon the menu, and giving us a few extra nice touches such as trying the homemade soup prepared for the next day (delicious), as well as an after dinner shot of a Croatian liqueur. Chef Herceg's recommended wines (a Croatian red and Croatian white) were spot on as was his homemade dark bread. Ambiance was lovely - well appointed inside and a very pretty outside eating porch right on the rushing Limmatt River. Sonne (and the actual menu item we ordered) was recommended to us by a Baden local...and we are so very glad we followed her recommendation. Very happy to pass the recommendation forward...we would go to Sonne again in a heartbeat.
