Best batter for fish and chips this side of the Channel. The other day went for lunch because they had lamb shank and OH MY GOD. It was like home cooking. Real potatoes to make the mash, real chopped carrots just perfectly not too cooked to make them crunchy and keep all the flavours, the gravy exactly what it ought to be. The mix of all was heaven. Not too much salt, keeping the original flavours of everything, what else?
The people are great, friendly, helpful. The place is packed with English-speaking people (That's a good point for the place), and the cook is simply great. Good raw ingredients, great cooking.
That's a place you go to not because you need to eat, but because you want to eat. CHEERS!!

Hadn't realised that this was no longer the Canadian Bar, walked passed in the afternoon and noticed the kitchen is open all day. We decided to eat inside and it has been renovated in a typical Irish pub style. Good drinks and food menu. Kids shared battered cod, chips and mushy peas and we had a chicken salad. Excellent service, food came super quick. It was delicious. Will be back for the weekend Irish breakfast!! (served all day)
Very good food (take the pulled pork burger), more than friendly staff and owner, Pub Quizz on Sunday :) The best that you can expect from an Irish pub!
